Founded in 1986, Masscribes, Inc., is a New England based calligraphy guild with members throughout the country for those who have a common interest in calligraphy and related arts. Masscribes membership is open to anyone at any level of ability or curiosity.
Our goal is to help keep handlettering alive and to feed art-hungry souls through hands-on workshops, education, promotion, and social gatherings. You may join our mailing list without becoming a member and start receiving announcements for upcoming events, exhibits, classes and the like right away. Becoming a Masscribes member will bring you members-only announcements as well and provide access to our many resources, including an extensive library and class scholarships. Membership also provides you full access to a generous, letter-loving community who gather--both in person and online--with the sole purpose of nurturing each other's creative spirits!

IAMPETH Convention, 2012 The 63rd Annual IAMPETH Convention The Hilton Milwaukee City Center, Milwaukee, WI Cutting edge technology is used for workshops, such as the Dukane digital projection system. The system allows the instructor to project his or her hand as the pen makes the stroke. Watching the instructor's hand actually use the pen or brush is the best way to learn the pen arts. |
